Cookie Policy

This site uses strictly necessary storage only. We run no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels and no social media trackers. Nothing here follows you between sites or builds a profile of you.

Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner to click through. Strictly necessary storage is exempt from consent under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the EU ePrivacy Directive, and we have chosen not to use anything beyond it.

• canton-core-cart — browser local storage, not a cookie. Holds the kits and quantities in your cart so it survives a reload. It stays until you clear it, complete an order, or clear your browser data, and it is never sent to our servers automatically.
• canton_core_admin — a signed, HTTP-only cookie set only when a member of our staff signs in to the administration area. It expires after 8 hours. It is never set for customers.

Both are first-party. Neither contains your name, address, payment details or any advertising identifier.

Stripe.When you continue to payment you are taken to Stripe's own checkout page, where Stripe sets cookies it needs for fraud prevention and to run the payment. That happens on Stripe's domain under Stripe's own privacy notice and cookie policy — we do not control it and cannot read those cookies. Stripe also performs fraud checks on payments made through our site.

Our hosting provider may set a short-lived cookie for load balancing and to protect the site from attack. These are strictly necessary and carry no personal data.

We embed no third-party fonts, videos, maps, chat widgets, comment systems or social buttons, so no other party can set storage through this site.

Separately from browser storage, our host records a standard server log for each request: IP address, user agent, page requested and timestamp. This is how we diagnose faults and detect abuse. Logs are kept for up to 30 days and are not used for tracking or advertising. See the Privacy Policy.

Every browser lets you view and delete cookies and local storage, usually under Privacy or Site Settings. You can clear our cart storage at any time.

Because our storage is strictly necessary, blocking it has consequences: if you block local storage, your cart will empty on every page load and you will not be able to complete an order. Browsing, reading kit pages and using the Core Kit Builder all work with storage blocked.

If we ever introduce analytics or any non-essential storage, we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting it — not afterwards.
