Your return window
- 30 days from delivery to return an unused kit for any reason.
- 60 days for active Core Club and Core Studio members, applied automatically to the email on the membership.
This is in addition to your legal rights. If you are in the UK or the EU and bought as a consumer, you also have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, without giving a reason. Our window is longer and more generous; nothing here removes your statutory rights, your rights over faulty goods, or your right to a remedy where goods are not as described.
What condition it must be in
To be returned as unwanted, a kit must come back:
- unused and undamaged, in a resaleable condition;
- complete, with every component listed on the kit page — a kit missing a piece cannot be resold as a kit;
- with its original packaging, including the gift box where the kit is sold gift-boxed;
- with adhesive hooks and label sets unopened, since these cannot be resold once the backing is removed.
You may unpack a kit and handle it to check its contents, size and finish, exactly as you would in a shop. If you handle it beyond that and its value is reduced, we may deduct that reduction from your refund and will explain the deduction with photographs before we make it.
How to start a return
- Email support@cantcore.shop with your order reference and which kits you are returning. You can also use the contact formand choose “Returns or exchange”.
- We reply within one business day with a return authorisation and the return address.
- Repack the kit with all components and send it with a tracked service.
- We inspect it on arrival and process the refund or exchange within three business days.
Please get authorisation before sending anything back. Unannounced parcels can sit unidentified in our receiving area, which delays your refund.
Who pays return postage
- Changed your mind: you pay the return postage. We recommend a tracked service — until it reaches us, the parcel is your responsibility, and we cannot refund a return we never receive.
- Faulty, damaged or not as described: we pay. We send a prepaid label or refund your postage against a receipt.
- We sent the wrong kit: we pay, and we ship the correct kit as soon as you tell us — you do not wait for the wrong one to arrive back.
Original outbound shipping is refunded when the return is our fault. For a change of mind, we refund the kit price; outbound shipping is refunded only where your statutory cancellation right requires it, at the standard rate.
Exchanges
Tell us which kit you want instead and we reserve it while your return is in transit. When it arrives we dispatch the replacement and refund or charge the difference in USD. We cover the outbound shipping on the replacement; you cover the return postage unless the original was faulty. One exchange per order keeps this workable — after that, please return for a refund and place a fresh order.
Faulty goods
If something fails in normal household use, tell us with photographs. Within 30 days of delivery you can have a full refund. After 30 days and up to 12 months, we repair or replace the affected component or kit at our cost; if that is not possible, we refund it.
This does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, or use beyond what a piece is designed for — a foldable shelf loaded past its stated capacity, or adhesive hooks applied to a surface they are not rated for, for example. Every kit page lists dimensions and materials so you can check fit and load before you buy.
What cannot be returned as unwanted
- Kits returned after your return window has closed.
- Kits that are incomplete, used, soiled or damaged by you.
- Opened adhesive hooks and opened write-on label sets, on hygiene and resale grounds.
- Kits bought from a third-party reseller — those go back to the seller you bought from.
Faulty goods are always returnable, whatever this list says. Seasonal Core Drop editions are returnable on the same terms as any other kit once delivered; the membership terms around them are in the Refund Policy.
